Ile de la Cite and Notre Dame de Paris

An evening trip out into winter Paris with a boat journey down the Seine.

Sainte Chapelle (Holy Chapel) is within the Palais de Justice compound on the Ile de la Cite in the heart of Paris. While the spire is impressive, the true glory is inside: spectacular stained glass windows. © 2005 Lykara I. Charters

Pont Neuf (New Bridge) is actually the oldest bridge in Paris, the first one made of dressed stone and the first bridge built without shacks or houses on it. The relatively wide bridge, especially in medieval times, made it the perfect place for meetings, riots, duels, and other community activities. Note the large Ns on the side of the bridge. © 2005 Lykara I. Charters
